John C. Duffey

John C. Duffey

John C. Duffey was born in Burnettsville, Indiana in 1956.  For over forty years, John has worked as a trial lawyer, with a practice spanning accident, commercial, employment, product liability, and real estate litigation. His work has had a longstanding focus on representing national, regional, and short-line railroads. 

Throughout his career, he has provided railroads representation at trial, appeal, and in mediation proceedings in a broad range of matters, including accident and injury cases, employment and real estate disputes, and legislative initiatives. He has regularly defended rail operators against Federal Employers’ Liability Act claims in state and federal courts. He has handled complex real estate disputes for rail carriers related to eminent domain and quiet title matters in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.  He was also honored to represent the Catholic Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana and Purdue University.
