Colleen Konicek

Colleen Konicek, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, has experience as a civil litigator in areas including railroad carrier liability, environmental and toxic tort, professional liability, product liability and corporate litigation.  Since joining Fletcher & Sippel, Colleen has continued representing transportation companies in a variety of litigation and currently practices in the areas of railroad defense, including FELA litigation, crossing litigation, derailments and toxic torts.  She has acquired trial experience through several jury trials in all areas of litigation, including FELA and crossing accidents.

In her free time, Colleen enjoys distance running, hiking, and traveling. Since 2017 she has travelled to Guatemala City with her husband, parents and various nieces and nephews, raising funds and working alongside Guatemalans in Zone 3’s Garbage Dump Community to build homes with Potter’s House Guatemala. In 2021, Colleen co-founded The Land We Love Run, acting as race director for the annual 5k and 10k with all proceeds benefitting Folds of Honor and the Cuba Township Food Pantry. She is a former trustee of the Village of Barrington Hills and serves as a member on the Board of the Barrington Area Conservation Trust.
